We all have this fantasy about college life which we build from the day we realise that we don’t have to wear a uniform to college. From there, a huge bubble of amazing things builds up in our mind, which is finally bursted on entering college.
Honest opinion- College life is the South Pole, if we consider movies and web-series as the North Pole.
This life in the college is just a trailer of what happens in the real world. Attendance and dress code are tough to keep up with, but finding right spot just to send a mail to team members, is a different experience altogether. Learning new things is a daily part, but my favourite is train travel. That one thing that teaches you to be fearless and fight for your right.
Friends…… These people are some of the most unusual people you will come across in your life, especially your college friends. They will always tempt you in to the wrong track and when they see you in trouble, they will jump in like a lifeguard to save you. They are the ones who can never see you cry and if they do, they will make sure that the world turns upside down, but you start smiling again.
Often we just don’t look beyond what their faces show us. We are so absorbed into our own life struggles, that we never see beyond that happy smiling face of our friends.
Once on asking a guy on how his life is, he quoted “You know how it is. It isn’t perfect like anyone’s life, but it is worth living.” These words gave me goosebumps. I know that there is something behind that face, which he’ll never let me know cause he knows how worried I would be for him.
Now one would think why did I name this “One Day”. Cause one day all this college fun and stress will end. There will no longer be assignments, projects, submissions. There will not be the fun of troubling your peers between lectures or just sitting with them and ranting. Everyone will go their ways in life and will do well, but we will surely have the memories after 10 years to tell colleagues and cousins about.
For me the thing that I’ll miss the most, is carrying my tiffin for these crazy humans. But the happiness on their face after eating the food, is enough for me to escape my hunger.
So if you get a chance, go and hug your best friend and tell them how much you love them!!!!!!!
